3M™ Dual Lock™ interlocking mushroom-shaped stems snap together to provide tensile strength strong enough to replace mechanical fasteners making it great for tight spaces, especially where you don’t want to penetrate the surface.

Use this product when you’re looking for 1 inch wide 3M™ Dual Lock™ where each strip comes “mated.”  Mated sets provide both sides or both halves for each unit. These pairs are cut to 2 inch lengths and are delivered as a set that make a single fastener. 

Pre-cut mated 3M™ Dual Lock™ pieces can replace screws, bolts, zippers, snaps, and other closures that are frequently removed.  Mated pieces make alignment easy.  

Hundreds of Reattachments in a Snap

When two pieces of 3M™ Dual Lock™ Reclosable Fasteners mate, the stems flex and the mushroom heads slide past each other. After passing the opposing mating piece, the stems snap back into their original position and the opposing mushroom heads interlock. These fasteners can provide high tensile strength but can be opened by simply cleaving or peeling open the closure. This product is well suited for many indoor applications where a good performance, high strength, reclosable fastening system is required.

"Type 250'' which has 250 stems per square inch. It will ''mate'' to itself and Type 170 and Type 400 3M™ Dual lock™ . When mating to Type 170, there will be less of a grip, with 400, it will be tighter.
